Lower Merion Basketball
Lower Merion School District is known for having an incredible support system with their fans. It is not unusual for basketball games or other sporting events to become fundraisers.
This particular night was dedicated to Hope, Aces assistant coach who was diagnosed with AS, a neuro-genetic disorder that occurs in one of every 15,000 live births. People with Angelman Syndrome are typically happy, smiling people despite their developmental delay, lack of speech and walking disorders. Not only was the game to raise awareness for AS as well as help raise money for ASF, the largest non-governmental funder of AS specific research. Aces hoops fittingly called this event "Hoops for Hope".
